When shipping goods, it's important to know what is and isn't covered in the event of loss or damage in transit.

If you ship packages with one of the 3 major carriers:  UPS, Fedex, or USPS, you are automatically insured as follows:

  • UPS:  $100 against loss or damage for any parcel.
  • Fedex:  $100 against loss or damage for any parcel
  • USPS:  $100 against loss or damage for Express Mail parcels

If you need insurance for a value above $100, you can declare the value when creating a package.

There is an additional cost for insurance on your declared value over $100, which varies depending on the carrier and package contents.  If you do specify the declared value on a package in Cohub, the additional fees will automatically be added to your carrier billing.
