Asset files provide the majority of the interactivity and style of your theme.

To add an asset, click 'Add New Asset' in the theme's file tree and this modal will appear:

You may drag and drop any file you've already got on your computer, or you can start fresh and create a blank asset file.

Once you've added the asset and are ready to use it in the theme, you'll insert it into a liquid template as follows:

{{ 'my_new_css_asset.css' | stylesheet_tag }}
{{ 'my_new_js_asset.js' | javascript_tag }}
{{ 'my_new_img_asset.jpg' | asset_url }}

Note that the type of liquid filter depends on the type of asset you're including.
